Apparently...

..."the middle of next week at the latest" actually means "maybe by the middle of the week after, if I get around to it."

..."by Thursday afternoon" doesn't even mean "by next Tuesday." I'll let you know what it does mean when I find out.

...returning phone calls is not part of the job description of CPS caseworkers in my town.

I wish patience could be supernaturally infused, instead of requiring me to face actual situations that make me impatient. Have I mentioned that I want this to be over?
